Snag does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Full stop.

Data collection

Snag does not collect any data from its users. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no usage tracking, and no account system. The app operates entirely locally on your Mac.

Network activity

Snag connects to the internet solely to download files from URLs you provide. It does not contact any third-party servers, and it does not phone home.

Local storage

Downloaded files and .snag transfer bundles are saved to your Downloads folder (or a location you choose). Download history is stored locally on your device in application support. None of this data leaves your Mac.

Cookies

If you import a cookies.txt file for authenticated downloads, those cookies are stored locally and used only to authenticate requests to the servers you specify. They are never shared or transmitted elsewhere.

Third-party services

Snag uses no third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks that collect data.

Changes

If this policy changes, it will be updated here. Given Snag collects nothing, material changes are unlikely.
